I. Educational Objectives

This major aims to develop students in the aspects of morality, intelligence, physical condition and state of mind, to systematically master basic historical knowledge and theories, professional abilities, basic knowledge and theories of education and psychology. Therefore, they can possess an innovative spirit, practical ability of historical education, good humanistic and socially scientific personalities, to eventually become prominent teachers employed in the basic education of history teaching.

Cultural Relics and Museology

I. Educational Objectives

This major aims to develop the students in the aspects of morality, intelligence, physicality and art, to possess basic knowledge and theories of studies of cultural relics, museology and archaeology. Therefore, they can possess an innovative spirit, practical ability of cultural relics and museology, and good humanistic and scientific personalities, to eventually become integrated talents working in the governmental cultural management and research institutions, museums and display departments, archaeological departments, collection and management institutions of cultural relics and artworks, custom offices, news media and education departments, or research effort of cultural relics and museology. In addition, they can develop the potential talent of further study of museology.

Classical Philology

I. Educational Objectives

This major aims to develop the students in the aspects of morality, intelligence, physicality and arts, to possess systematic knowledge and theories of ancient classical philology, cultural relics and archaeology. Therefore, they can possess an innovative spirit, practical ability of ancient classical philology, and good humanistic and socially scientific personalities, to eventually become professional talents having the potential ability of further study of ancient classical philology. In addition, they can work as professions in the departments of collation of ancient books, identification of ancient books, publishing and printing, culture and education.
